I’ve come to realize exactly how much work goes into sufficiently editing a novel AND working full-time.  I’ve taken on a summer job as a Reading Specialist at a non-profit run summer camp and honestly it is just as exhausting as teaching full-time.  My schedule is constantly changing and I’m forever at home planning new lessons for the 50+ kids I will see in a day.  I sometimes wonder how I have enough time to sleep.  But, I’m hoping to find more time as the summer goes on to continue my project and fulfill my birthday wish of publishing my first novel on (or before) August 28th.  Pray for me!

I was just playing around with images I found on Google. This is what I'd like my cover to look like. Now, to find a picture I can use legally....Hmm.

I don’t think I’ve fully grasped the idea that I wrote a complete novel just yet.  But, this surely is an eye-opener!  It’s the first cover design I actually like and that I feel represents the novel as a whole.  But…I either need to get rights to use this picture, or find a new picture.  The search continues!  August is quickly approaching! I better get working!

Hello fellow Readers/Writers!

My updates have been few and far between, which has not a beautiful website made!  My sincere apologies! The last year has been nothing short of crazy, involving cancer, radiation treatments and new (part-time and not ideal) jobs.  I have, however, been vigorously editing my novel and hope to self-publish it BEFORE August 28th (my birthday) as sort-of an early birthday present to myself! I think I can do it! I hope to get more serious about this website and actually make it look the way I want it to look as soon as possible! Good things come to those who wait, right? Or is it good things come to those who pursue them?  Well, either way I think I am encompassing both sayings in my actions! So, bring on the good things! 2012 is going to be my  year– maybe if I put it in writing, it will come true!
